About Bowmore 27 Year Old<\/a> The Vintner’s Trilogy<\/h2>\n

After the barley has been malted and peated, it is mashed and fermented with pure water drawn from the Laggan River. The water has spent two millennia percolating in the ancient rock formations and peat bogs of Islay, giving Bowmore Whiskey its distinctive, chewy body and subtle mouthfeel.<\/p>\n

Then, the fermented barley is twice distilled through Bowmore’s<\/a> copper-pot stills before being left to mature in the distillery’s seaside, underground maturation vaults.<\/p>\n

Bowmore 27 Year Old<\/a> The Vintner’s Trilogy is the third release in the Vintner’s Trilogy collection. Double matured in the world’s oldest Scotch maturation warehouse \u2013 the legendary No.1 Vaults \u2013 it’s first aged for 13 years in ex-bourbon barrels and then for 14 years in port pipes.<\/p>\n

The result is a luxurious balance of sweet, spicy and salty notes with peat smoke. Non-chill filtered and bottled at 96.6 proof, it captivates the eye with a deep mahogany hue and the senses with a beautifully peaty nose and a decadent palate with smoky notes dancing with sultanas, sugarplums, salted caramel and sweet leather.<\/p>\n
