The journey of this Cowboy starts with the selection of “Summer Survivors,” as the master distiller Donnis calls the 8- and 9-year-old barrels that endured the long, hot spells of Texas summers.
The 2022 Cowboy release features an uncut and unfiltered straight bourbon whiskey, clocking in at a powerful 134.8 proof.
Incredibly smooth for a bourbon so strong, its blooming warm and sweet aromas overpower the strength of the proof. The angels already took their cut, leaving you with a limited amount of 9,600 bottles.

Tasting Notes
You can expect a sweet and gentle opening on the nose, with a blend of newly tanned leather, walnuts, monkey bread, and spring jasmine. The palate is sweet yet dark with a surprising touch of cacao chocolate, Syrupy Dublin dr. Pepper, blackstrap molasses, brown sugar, carob, and dates. The finish is long, meandering through chocolate and cinnamon spices.
